Hi there, and welcome to my blog about African bird's eye chili, the world's hottest pepper. I'm Elvis Kirwa, and I'm passionate about all things ABE (African bird's eye chili).

Akchillies is a clever play with the word Achillies. If you ignore the letter K which abbreviates my middle name. You get Achillies. Which is better sounding? Achillies from mythos had a small weakness to his overall strength but his small weakness lead to his defeat. In relation ABE it might be small but is sure packs a punch.

I'll be sharing everything you need to know about ABE on this blog, from its farming and medical benefits to its spice level on the Scoville scale. I'll also be sharing some of my favorite recipes that feature ABE, as well as tips on how to grow your own.
